Blake Strother Talbot, MD, Endowed Scholarship

The Blake Strother Talbot, MD, Endowed Scholarship was established in 2011 by the late Dr. Talbot, a 1941 graduate of Rush Medical College.

Born in Waynesville, Missouri, Dr. Talbot attended Rush for medical school and upon his matriculation, became a urologist in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years. When he retired as a U.S. Naval Captain in 1962, Dr. Talbot settled in San Diego, where he spent the next 24 years in private practice.

Dr. Talbot passed away in 2016 at the age of 100, and this endowed scholarship for students enrolled in Rush Medical College immortalizes his legacy of service.
