Elizabeth Dietrich Endowed Nursing Scholarship

The Elizabeth Dietrich Endowed Scholarship in the College of Nursing was established after Ms. Dietrich’s passing in 2012. A 1951 graduate of the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Ms. Dietrich remained committed to her alma mater and left her estate to Rush to support nursing education.

After receiving her nursing degree, Ms. Dietrich practiced at Rush for 20 years in the area of infectious diseases. Later in her career, she worked in occupational health, providing health services to the Illinois Central Railroad and the American National and Trust Company. Even after her retirement, remained committed to the health care field, volunteering at hospitals near her home in Wheaton, Illinois.
