Eunice G. Greeley Endowed Scholarship

Eunice G. Greeley Endowed Scholarship

The Eunice G. Greeley Endowed Scholarship was established after her passing in 1978 by her late husband, Paul W. Greeley, Jr., MD.

Dr. Greeley began his career at the University of Illinois in 1927 as one of a small number of plastic surgeons in the country. During WWII, he served as chief of the plastic surgery service at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, California. He returned to Chicago after the war, serving as professor of surgery and chairperson of the department of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Rush University Medical Center from 1957 to 1967. In his academic career, Dr. Greeley wrote more than 125 manuscripts and textbooks on plastic and reconstructive surgery, and he is viewed as a pioneer in the field.
