Helen S. Thomas Endowed Nursing Scholarship

The Helen S. Thomas Endowed Nursing Scholarship was established in 1996 with a significant gift from long-time philanthropists William and Helen Thomas.

Throughout their lives, William and Helen supported many philanthropic organizations dedicated to education, the environment, medical needs and many other causes. The William and Helen Thomas Charitable Trust maintains their commitment to philanthropy and giving back to the community.

Prior to his death in 2001, William was a salesman for the ARCO Company and served as chairman of the board of Enabling Technologies. Helen was a nurse and an avid supporter of higher education. This scholarship is a tribute to her work as a nurse and her dedication to providing students with access to medical education.
