Henry and Antonia Hasterlik Endowed Student Assistance Fund
The Henry and Atonia Hasterlik Endowed Student Assistance Fund was established by the late Robert J. Hasterlik, MD, a 1938 graduate of Rush Medical College and a Life Trustee of the Medical Center. He created this scholarship in memory of his parents.
Dr. Hasterlik was a longtime scientist, serving for several years as the Director of the Health Division of Argonne National Laboratories. He later joined the University of Chicago, where he became professor of medicine and an international authority on research related to the effect of radiation on human beings. Dr. Hasterlik was named the Rush Medical College Distinguished Alumnus in 1991.
