Jacques Loan Fund
This fund was established by the family and patients of Lawrence Jacques in honor of both Lawrence and his father, John. John Jacques fled Russia in the 1890’s and received his degree from Rush Medical College in 1896; his son Lawrence was born in Chicago and received his degree from Rush in 1923. Both father and son became outstanding Chicago physicians and teachers.
Impact
To provide loans for students enrolled at Rush University. This is an unrestricted loan fund to be repaid within five years after graduation. No interest is charged, but a compensatory gift should be made to the fund.
