JoAnn and Seymour W. Weisberg, MD, Endowed Medical Student Assistance Fund

The JoAnn and Seymour W. Weisberg, MD, Endowed Medical Student Assistance Fund was established in 1996.

Dr. Weisberg, a 1937 graduate of Rush Medical College, found Rush to be one of the few institutions of the era that was welcoming to students of Jewish heritage, and he remained grateful for the education Rush provided him. A longtime internist, Dr. Weisberg passed away in 1997 at the age of 86. Mrs. Weisberg remains an ardent supporter of this scholarship fund.
