Kathleen Gainor Andreoli, DSN, RN, FAAN Endowed Scholarship

The Andreoli Endowed Nursing Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 by generous faculty, Rush leadership, alumni and friends to honor Kathleen Gainor Andreoli upon her retirement as the John L. and Helen Kellogg Dean of the College of Nursing.

A pioneer even before joining the Rush College of Nursing as dean in 1987 ? she was involved in the development of the nation’s first physician assistant training program at Duke University in the 1960s ? Dr. Andreoli led a career that forged new ground in health sciences education. At Rush, she developed new educational opportunities for clinicians, researchers, teachers and nurse leaders. Under her leadership, the College of Nursing became ranked as one of the nation’s top nursing schools ? a status it holds to this day.
