Meryl H. Haber, MD Endowed Medical Scholarship

The Meryl Haber, MD, Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 by Dr. Haber, a longtime Rush faculty member. Dr. Haber was the Harriet Blair Borland Professor and chair of the Department of Pathology at Rush until 2000, and he currently serves as a distinguished emeritus professor of pathology at Rush Medical College.

During his esteemed career, Dr. Haber also held academic appointments at Northwestern University and helped establish the University of Hawaii School of Medicine and the University of Nevada School of Medical Sciences.

Over the years, Dr. Haber has held key positions in various professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education. In his career, Dr. Haber authored or co-authored numerous publications, chapters and textbooks that are considered seminal to the field of pathology.
