Sadie and Samuel Miller Endowed Scholarship

Sadie and Samuel Miller Endowed Scholarship

The Sadie and Samuel Miller Endowed Scholarship was established in 1992 through an estate gift from Dr. and Mrs. Miller. A graduate of Rush Medical College in 1931, Dr. Samuel Miller was a surgeon who served in the Pacific Theater during World War II and worked as a missionary surgeon in Vietnam, Taiwan, Nicaragua and Peru.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Miller returned to college at the age of 85 to study the humanities. This endowed scholarship honors Dr. and Mrs. Miller’s passion for education and supports students in the Rush Medical College.
