Simpson Family Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Simpson Family Endowed Scholarship fund was established in 2007 through the generous support of Michael Simpson, a Rush Trustee since 1978, and the entire Simpson family. This scholarship supports students enrolled in Rush Medical College.
Mr. Simpson’s father, Mr. John Simpson, served on the Board of Trustees of Presbyterian Hospital and was instrumental in the 1954 merger between Rush’s two predecessor institutions: Presbyterian Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital. This merger laid the groundwork for what is now Rush University Medical Center. Michael Simpson continues the family legacy of service at Rush. The scholarship pays tribute to the entire Simpson family and their long history of support to Rush and its students.
